What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kamile Martin conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection due to an incident that occurred on 4/20/26 and was reported to the Department on 4/21/26 LPA met with Teacher Christina Oceguera whom the reason for the visit was explained. LPA went on a self-guided tour of the facility LPA observed 0 preschool children in the classroom upon entry teacher Christina stated today is our conference days no children in care. The facility was observed to be operating within the license capacity limitations. On 4/20/26 an unusual incident report was made to the Monterey Regional Department where there was a child who told parent that teacher “grabbed me hard and hit me Parent asked to show him where he slapped his arm indicating where the area was hit. He then said I told you to take me out of this school. Child has no visible marks on his arm. Teachers were interviewed and documents obtained providing child’s growth from the beginning of school to current progress, ClassDojo notes communication between parents and teachers, Teacher Christina’s written statement of the days incident. Many findings were revealed during interviews with staff. Child is no longer in care as of 4/20/26. Follow up is needed. A police report was made on 4/20/26 from the parent Pomona Police Department number #A20260420-453234 Based on information obtained during the investigation, Policies and procedures were followed however further follow up is needed. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.00 Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Christina Oceguera.
