What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes, conducted an unannounced site follow up Inspection to inspect and measure the requested Toddler Option outdoor play yard for capacity determination. LPA met with Kym Allen, Facilities and Licensing Planner. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures were taken during the entire inspection and all individuals present during this inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. The licensee is requesting a capacity of 8 toddlers (18 to 36 months) and is already licensed for 101 Preschool (2-5). Days & Hours for the proposed toddler option will be Monday- Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM. Mr. Allen stated they added a fence between the Preschool and the requested Toddler Option class room (K3), empty class room (K1) and Preschool class room (K2). Measurements were taken and the Preschool yard was determined to have outdoor capacity of 126 and the toddler yard measurements were determined to have a outdoor capacity of 121. Mr. Allen will request a waiver for the Preschool room K2 to walk through the toddler yard to get to there own play yard. Mr. Allen also stated he will have a changing table placed in the toddler class room K3 within arms reach of a sink. The preschool class rooms from when they were first licensed for a total capacity of 101 in rooms HS3, HS4, K2. and K3. Mr Allen request to remove room K3 (Room capacity of 24) from the preschool license and use K3 as the Toddler Option and leave room K1 empty at this time. Mr. Allen will send in an updated application for the preschool with a new total capacity of 77. License will be granted once corrections are made of the changing table, waiver approval, updated application and updated facility sketches. 4PM Exit interview conducted with Mr. Kym Allen and a signed copy of this report and the notice of site visit were provided.
