What the inspector wrote

An announced pre-licensing site inspection was conducted today by Licensing Program Analyst (LPAs) Cynthia Reyes and Crystal Green to inspect and measure facility for capacity determination. Licensing staff met with Kym Allen, Facilities and Licensing Planner. Days & Hours for the preschool and proposed toddler option will be Monday- Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM. This facility is located on the premises of Arroyo Elementary which operates under Pomona Unified School District. Licensing staff was guided through a tour of the proposed designated preschool classrooms. The licensee is requesting to add classrooms H1 and H2 to their existing license preschool rooms H3 and H4. Classrooms H1 and H2 has access to their own restroom in their own class room, each with 2 toilets and 2 sinks. Facility is currently licensed to care for 53 preschoolers and 48 toddlers, total capacity of 101. Licensee is requesting a capacity increase of 48 preschoolers to increase to capacity of 149. The existing licensed classrooms for preschoolers are two rooms (H3 and H4) and (K1and K3) for the toddler option program. Both classrooms (H1 and H2) were measured for a capacity of 21in each class room, for a total additional indoor capacity of 42 preschoolers. Outdoor measurements were determined to have outdoor capacity of 124 for the preschool yard and 56 for the toddler yard. Based on measurements obtained, the application will be approved for a total capacity of 95 preschoolers and 48 toddlers for a new total of 143 children. Fire clearance is on file and approved for the requested capacity above. Exit interview conducted with Mr. Kym Allen and a signed copy of this report and the notice of site visit was provided on this date.
