What the inspector wrote

On December 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Kruz Long and Nolan Tcheng conducted an announced case management licensee - initiated inspection. LPAs met with Deborah Lawrence, Child Development Administrator. The facility hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. There are 24 children enrolled. 18 children, 1 teacher and 3 aides are present during today's visit. Licensee is requesting to temporarily relocate preschool age children to Classroom #3 on Janson Elementary School Campus. Currently licensed area is across the campus from Classroom #3. Currently licensed areas will be renovated and projected to be completed by August 2026. The Department has not received a fire clearance inspection for Classroom #3 and has requested Administrator to submit an LIC200A (Application) with updated capacity request. The Department will send a fire clearance request to applicable fire department. LPAs toured Classroom #3, Kindergarten playground and children's restrooms to be used by program. Kindergarten playground is behind the classroom building and restrooms to be used is location at end of hallway. Measurements were obtained for Classroom #3 and playground. Restrooms were observed to have sufficient toilet and hand washing fixtures. Administrator states supervision will be maintained at all times during transition to playground and restrooms. Based on observations and measurements, the purposed classroom meets California Title 22 for 26 preschool age children. page 1 of 2 The following corrections need to be submitted prior to obtaining approval. 1. Submit LIC200A with new capacity. 2. Playground waiver to be completed by LPA. 3. Toddler seats for restroom toilets. 4. Classroom furniture and toys to be relocated to Classroom #3. Upon receipt of these corrections. Approval will be granted for relocation. An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of the report was provided, along with appeal rights to Deborah Lawrence, Child Development Administrator. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days during facility\342\200\231s hours of operation. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. page 2 of 2
