What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Nolan Tcheng conducted a subsequent Case Management-Licensee initiated inspection, for the purpose of measuring outdoor play space for a capacity increase. Upon arrival at 2pm, LPA met with Facility Representative Linda Brown, to whom the purpose of the inspection was explained. This facility is licensed as an Infant Program with a capacity of 12, serving children ages 0-2yrs in Classroom #1. Facility is requesting to increase Infant program capacity by adding Classroom #2 and "2s's Yard" to existing licensed areas; increasing the total capacity by 8 children, equaling to a total of 20 children. Classroom #2 and "2's Yard" will be decreased from Good Shepherd's Preschool program (191501766) on the same property. A tour of the facility was conducted and census was taken. There were 10 children with 4 staff members. On 02/24/2026, LPA measured the new requested indoor space. Classroom #2 was measured to be 454.44 square feet (sq ft), which was sufficient to accommodate the requested increase in capacity of 8 children, for a total of 20 children. Measurements for infant outdoor space were obtained on 02/24/2026. It was measured to be 939.66 sq ft, which was sufficient to accommodate only 12 children at one time. Facility is requesting that the "2's Yard" that was originally outdoor play space for the Preschool license, to be added to the above license. The new outdoor space was measured to be 1152.8 sq ft, which is sufficient to accommodate the requested increase in capacity of 8 children, for a total of 20 children. There are sufficient outdoor age-appropriate toys and play equipment available on the play yard. Drinking water is available outside. No weapons, firearms, or bodies of water were observed. LPA did not observe any hazardous items on the play yard. Fire clearance was approved on 01/21/2026. REPORT CONTINUES PAGE 1 of 2 Upon final file and application review, the facility will be granted a new license to serve infant aged children, up to a capacity of 20 in Classroom #1 and Classroom #2. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Facility Representative Linda Brown, at 3:15pm. Copy of report provided.
