Facility-requested visit·July 24, 2024

On 07/24/2024 Licensing Program Analyst Doris Whitmore and Lisa Clayton made an announced visit to Village Children\342\200\231s Center (R.U. Methodist) for the purpose of conducting a Case Management - Licensee Initiated inspection. The licensee would like to make the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall on limits to children in care for family events, presentations and performances. In addition, Director Yuli is requesting to make the Chapel on limits for music classes, Chapel time. The center is located on the campus of Riviera United Methodist Church. LPA'S observed 33 children being supervised and cared for appropriately by 5 fingerprint staff. The following was observed: Age-appropriate furniture, equipment, and toys. There were no hazardous conditions in the outdoors area, cushioning was observed under all climbing apparatus, cushioning was in good condition. Sanctuary: 6113.25 divided by 35 sq. ft = 175 children Chapel: 634.84 divided by 35 sq. ft = 18 children Fellowship Hall: 3802.98 divided by 35 sq. ft = 108 children Nina Yuli Mihara will provide a description of what the rooms will be used for. Also, a schedule for the music class conducted in the chapel via email no later than 07/25/2024. Licensee agrees and acknowledges that the children will use the front entrance of the property to access the Sanctuary and the Chapel.
