LPA Jillinda Chandler is delivering an amended report of investigation findings by LPA Rios. Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Rios made an unannounced inspection to the Discoveryland Infant Care of South Bay Jr. Academy on 2/23/22 at 9:00am for the purpose of concluding the investigation on the above allegation and to deliver the findings. LPA met with Director Violet Edwards and together discussed the investigation details. Based on documents obtained during the investigation process the allegations cannot be substantiated. Based on the teacher’s facility file review, 3 teachers files did not have a copy of the transcript for the infant course. However, the courses for all 3 were verified on 2/18/22 showing that all teachers were qualified at time of inspection. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. Exit interview was conducted with the facility administrator. Appeal Rights were issued, and a copy of this report was left at the facility.
