What the inspector wrote

On 07/23/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton arrived at Culver Christian School to conduct an Annual Random Inspection. LPA Clayton met with Director Jenette Bolden. LPA Clayton observed 26 children being supervised and cared for appropriately by 6 fingerprint cleared staff. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The CCC provides snacks and water. LPA Clayton toured the facility indoors and outdoors for a Health and Safety Inspection. LPA Clayton inspected the classrooms and observed age-appropriate toys, books and furnishings. Furniture and equipment in the classrooms are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The sinks and toilets are in safe and sanitary operating condition, and floors in the facility are clean and safe. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. There are no pools, ponds, or any other bodies of water on the property. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. All disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children in care. LPA Clayton conducted a Health and Safety inspection of the food storage area and observed it to be free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is to be discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair. LPA Clayton observed a 2A10BC Fire Extinguisher in every classroom, and working smoke detectors in each classroom. The CCC has a Pull Fire alarm system with alarm pulls station located in the front office, in the hallway outside of the kitchen. LPA Clayton reviewed the Emergency Drills log sheet indicating that drills are conducted monthly. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations and/or Health and Safety Codes, no Deficiencies or Technical Violations were cited. An exit interview was conducted, the report and Appeal Rights were reviewed and provided to Director Jenette. LPA Clayton posted a Notice of Site Visit which must remain posted for 30 days. LPA Clayton reviewed 6 children\342\200\231s files and observed the files to contain current contact information of parents and authorized representatives, and authorization for medical treatment, signed Parent\342\200\231s Rights and signed Personal Rights receipts and updated immunization records. LPA Clayton reviewed 5 employee files which were found to be in compliance. LPA Clayton reminded Licensee that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Childcare Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA Clayton reminded Director to access the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov for access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, COVID-19 Information and Resources, Mandated Reporter Training, Safe Sleep in Child Care, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms.
