What the inspector wrote

On 8/27/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton conducted an unannounced Case Management \342\200\223 Licensee Initiated Inspection for the Child Care Co-op. LPA Clayton met with Director Brittany Mann. There were no children in care. The facility operating hours are 8:30am \342\200\223 12:30pm Monday \342\200\223 Friday. The purpose of this inspection is to change the license status from Inactive to Active, and to ensure the standards for a Child Care Center are being met in accordance with California Tittle 22 Regulations and California Health and Safety Codes. The CCC closed due to the January 2025 Fires. LPA Clayton toured the facility indoors and outdoors for a Health and Safety Inspection. The Co-Op provides care to children ages 2 \342\200\223 4 years old, in rooms 145 and 148 only and uses the gated Preschool Play yard for outdoor play. LPA Clayton inspected the classrooms and observed age-appropriate toys, books and furnishings. Furniture and equipment in the classrooms are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The sinks and toilets are in safe and sanitary operating condition, and floors in the facility are clean and safe. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. There are no pools, ponds, or any other bodies of water on the property. There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. All disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children in care. LPA Clayton observed working Carbon Monoxide detectors and pull fire alarms in all of the classrooms listed above. LPA observed fully charged 2A10BC Fire Extinguisher outside of classroom 145 and a fully charged 2A10BC Fire Extinguisher outside of the play yard. A Fire permit was issued by the City of Los Angeles Fire Department on September 1, 2010. Per Director Brittany, all staff are participating in a CPR/First Aid class today and are scheduled to update the required Mandated Reporter Training no later than Monday September 1, 2025. Director will forward the sign-in sheet for the CPR Class and Mandated Reporter certificates to the Department no later than Tuesday September 2, 2025. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations and/or Health and Safety Codes, no Deficiencies or Technical Violations were cited. An exit interview was conducted, the report was reviewed and provided to Director Brittany. LPA Clayton posted a Notice of Site Visit which must remain posted for 30 days.
