What Happened
LPA conducted a case management lead testing inspection and confirmed two water sources with lead exceedances in the kitchen area. The director said one faucet would be used instead of the flagged source, and the previously noncompliant hose was never used by the child care program.
Observations
- Sample A, a kitchen sink faucet, showed a lead exceedance of 6.0 UG/L.
- Sample C, a hose near the stove, showed a lead exceedance of 20.0 UG/L.
- The director stated the hose had never been used by the child care center.
- The facility planned to use the compliant kitchen faucet B and not use faucet A until retested.
