What the inspector wrote

According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), staff is always supervising children and ensure they are in small groups so that they can keep an eye on all of them. According to S1, S2 and S3, they have never observed C2 engaging in inappropriate behavior with other day care children. They stated that the children do sometimes put their finger through the staircase holes and play on that play structure. Staff further stated that C2 has difficulty communicating and does use physical touch to obtain staff and other children's attention. According to Parent 2 (P2), Parent 3 (P3), Parent 4 (P4) they have no concerns regarding their children engaging in inappropriate behavior while in care or inappropriately touching other children in care. According to Child 2 (C2), Child 3 (C3), Child 4 (C4), they stated that none of their classmates have inappropriately touched them while in care and that they have not inappropriately touched any of their classmates while in care. LPA made observations and observed the play structure staircase where children play and took photographs. LPA interviewed and observed children and children stated that they were happy at the day care. LPA interviewed C2, LPA did have a difficult time understanding the words C2 was trying to say at times. Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Principal, Swearingen, Paula.
