What the inspector wrote

LPA observed this facility on multiple occasion's and did not find the facility out of ratio at any time. LPA observed a white board in the staff lounge that is used to document the number of children enrolled, present and absent in each classroom. LPA observed a smaller board in the main entrance that documents what staff is out for the day and who will be covering that staff member. All staff confirmed that the facility has not been out of ratio since 4/17/23. Based on the available information, the preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation(s) is found to be Substantiated. California Code of Regulations, 101216.3(c) Teacher-Child Ratio, is being cited on the attached LIC. 9099D. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted with Principal, Christiana Park. A copy of this report and appeal rights were discussed and provided. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Principal, Christiana Park. Classroom had 30 children supervised by one qualified teacher and four assistants, putting the classroom out of ratio by six children. This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.
