What the inspector wrote

On 10/21/25 at 2:45 PM Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Claudia Kam conducted an Unannounced Case management Inspection to follow up on an incident that was reported to the Department. Upon arrival, LPA announced purpose of inspection and met with Facility Representative, Principle Kandis Hamblet who granted entry to facility. Census was taken. On 09/15/25, 9/19/25 and 10/7/25 an incident was reported to The Department where a child sustained an injury while in care. The facility reported this incident to the Department within the required 24 hours and submitted written report within seven days. During this inspection LPA interviewed staff, and observed outdoor play area where incident took place. Facility Representative informed Licensing that a child was stung by a bee while playing outdoors. Stinger was removed from the child and first aid administered. Children did not have an allergic reaction and no medical care was sought. Children remained on campus for the remainder of the day and returned the next school day. The area was observed for bees to determine if there was a danger to children in care and no bees were observed. Facility Representative states that trees were trimmed and pest control was contacted to address the incidents. Based on the information obtained and LPA observation LPA determined there is no danger to the children and Facility Representative made necessary adjustments after incident. The facility was found in compliance per Title 22 regulations, there will be no deficiencies cited today. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
