What Happened
During the unannounced annual inspection, the licensee showed the home setup, including the main activity room, off-limits areas, and the fenced outdoor play space. The inspector observed working life-safety equipment, but also noted open-face heaters in the main activity area and incomplete children’s files and unavailable staff records.
Observations
- open-face heaters were located in the living room where children spend most of their time
- children's files were incomplete and the licensee's CPR/First Aid and records were not available for review
