What the inspector wrote

On January 21, 2026, at approximately 12:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Janet Gil arrived at the facility. LPA conducted an unannounced case management inspection for a classroom change. LPA met with Operations Executive Director, Claudia Elias. The facility has requested a classroom change from Portable Classroom #25 to Portable Classroom #26. Present during inspection included 0 children with 3 staff members (Executive Director, Claudia Elias, and two additional staff). All adults working in the facility are fingerprinted clearance on file. The facility is located inside Superior Street Elementary School. Facility is currently licensed for 32 children in Classroom Portable #25. LPA inspected newly requested Portable Classroom #26 for health and safety hazards. LPA observed a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, and fire extinguisher inside Portable Classroom #26. LPA did not observe any cleaning solutions, poisons, and other chemicals that are dangerous to the children to be accessible. Portable Classroom #28 was observed to contain age-appropriate furniture that was in proper repair. The floor appears to be in repair and free of any hazards. LPA observed fire clearance approval for Portable Classroom #26 from 1/3/2026. Approval pending for 28 children with management approval. No deficiencies were cited today. Exit interview and report were discussed with Operations Executive Director, Claudia Elias. This report and notice of site visit were discussed with the licensee and must be made available to the public upon request.
