What the inspector wrote

At 8:50 am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Roxana Lopez conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. LPA met with Gwendolyn Abastas (Wendy), facility representative (assistant/daughter) that led analyst into the facility. Licensee, Martha Bustamante was not present. There are 14 children that are currently enrolled. A current children\342\200\231s roster was available for review. There were 5 children present upon arrival- 3 being infants. The department received and updated application to add Gwendolyn Abastas to the license. The Facility Representative states that 3 adults currently live in the home. Facility currently have 2 assistants. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in the licensed child care home. Facility Representative states that there are no weapons stored in the home. This is a one story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, daycare room, front yard and backyard (fenced). The children have access to the day care room which is located in the back of the house, 1 bathroom and backyard for play. Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and front yard. Areas inaccessible were observed to be locked, All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via cellphone that stays at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating.
