What the inspector wrote

On 08/10/23 at 8:50 am Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Maria Rendon met with Director Karina Rodriguez. The purpose of the visit was an announce licensee initiated case management inspection for an increase of capacity at the facility to ensure that health, safety and personal rights as requires by Title 22 and Health and Safety Regulations governing California Child Care Centers will be met. This is an application for 200 children ages 4.9 years old to 12 years old. The childcare center operates Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00 pm \342\200\223 6:00 pm and Tuesday 1:00 pm \342\200\223 6:00 pm. At the time of the inspection there were no children and other staff members on site due to the Summer Break. The fire clearance was approved on 7/5/2023 for classrooms 34, 37, 42, Cafeteria West and Auditorium. LPA requested a tour of the facility at which time Director Karina informed LPA that the rooms that the children will be using this school year 2023-2024 have been changed during the summer. Director Karina provided LPA the Facility Use Authorization Form signed on 5-31-23, requested the following classroom changes to be made, Rooms 24, 34, 38, 46, cafeteria west, parent center and library. At this time LPA Rendon was not able to conduct an inspection for an increase of capacity because the new rooms have not had fire clearance and informed director that the department was not aware of the room changes. Director stated that the classrooms that are currently licensed 34, 37, 42, Cafeteria west and auditorium will be used by students when they return to school on August 15, 2023. LPA advised director that the following forms will need to be submitted to the department, Facility Use Authorization Form with the new classrooms, and an updated facility sketch. pg 1 of 2 LPA informed director once the department receives all required documents including the fire clearance for the new rooms, a Licensing Program Analyst will return at a later date to conduct an inspection for an increase of capacity. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report, notice of site visit, and appeal rights, were provided to Director Karina Rodriguez. pg 2 of 2.
