What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Tatiana Bickham and Decondia Ferguson conducted an unannounced Case Management Visit to this facility. While conducting an alternate visit at Turning Point Montessori on 2/19/26, the following deficiencies were observed. At 10:30 am LPAs observed staff 1 and staff 2 were not listed on the facility roster. LPAs were able to confirm that both staff have a criminal record clearance. The following deficiencies were observed to be in violation of California code of Regulations, Title 22, (refer to 809D). A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Director and Appeals Rights provided.

    (a) The licensee shall ensure that each child is accorded the following personal rights:(1) To be accorded dignity in his/her personal relationships with staff and other persons.This poses an potential health and safety risk to children in care. Based on LPAs interviews with the Director and staff, the facility did not prevent children in care from being bitten.

This poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.Based on LPAs observation, interview, and record review the Director did not ensure all staff is associated to the facility.
