What the inspector wrote

On 09/05/2024, beginning at 11:30 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Elicia Calvillo and Roberto Luque Avila conducted an additional announced Pre-Licensing inspection at 16055 San Fernando Mission Blvd, Granada Hills, CA 91344. Applicants is applying for a Small Family Child Care Home, anticipating caring for 8 children from ages 2 months to 12 years of age. The applicant\342\200\231s current proposed hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 08:00AM-10:00PM. LPAs met with Tigran Khachatryan and Lilia Adunts, Applicants, who guided LPAs on a tour of the inside and outside of the home. There was 1 child present. During the inspection, LPAs inspected all areas that will be used for child care to include: the dining / living room will be used for child care activities, eating, and sleeping. Toys and play items are safe, clean, and appropriate for the ages of the children. Bedroom #2 will be used for child care activities and sleeping. Restroom in the hallway is designated for children in care and was inspected for cleanliness and free of hazards. The children will use the covered patio for outdoor play time. The outdoor play areas were both observed to be fenced. LPA observed that the front and back outdoor play yard has toys and other materials for children to play. LPA did not observe any objects that can pose a danger to children on the front or back outdoor yard. LPAs observed and ADU in the property with address 16053 San Fernando Mission Blvd. Granada Hills CA, 91344 with a fence separating their yard from the ADU tenant\342\200\231s yard. The ADU is a separate unit with the entrance facing the alley. Per Applicant the tenants in the ADU get their mail by a mailbox located outside the fence of their front yard. Per Applicants, the ADU tenants only have access to the back yard during an emergency with the applicants consent by unlocking the gate from their side of the fence. LPAs observed the fence gate to be locked and inaccessible to the ADU tenants at this time.
