What the inspector wrote

On 08/14/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Laticia Thompson met with Rivka Montal, Director. The purpose of todays visit is an announced outdoor activity space measurement and inspection at the facility. LPA confirmed all corrections required on the prelicensing visit conducted on 7/29/2025 have been made. Toddler Outdoor measurements are : The measurements contain a total of 1,587.74 which will not accommodate Applicant\342\200\231s request for 24 Toddlers. Based on today\342\200\231s measurement the facility capacity limit for outdoor space is 21 Toddlers. Preschool Outdoor measurements are: The measurements contain a total of 7,212 which will accommodate Applicant\342\200\231s request for 56 Preschool children. The entire preschool outdoor activity grounds are not completely enclosed by a fence to protect children and to keep them in the outdoor activity area. The fence in the toddler and preschool outdoor space are at least four feet high. The preschool area around and under climbing equipment has a rubber platform for cushioning to prevent injury from falls. There is adequate shade and benches for resting in the preschool outdoor activity area. The toddler outdoor areas does not have adequate shade and benches for resting and lacking age play equipment. LPA observed equipment and hazards in the toddler and preschool outdoor activity space. Toddlers outdoor activity space is currently under construction that has not been completed. Applicant was advised to inspect preschool sandbox daily to ensure areas are free of any hazardous foreign material. LPA did not observe any bodies of water. Director was advised to deliver or mail Firearm Waiver to Regional Office. LPA received an updated facility sketch adjusting staff restroom as a preschool restroom to meet regulation requirements to accommodate capacity requested. The following corrections are required for outdoor activity areas: Pictures of enclosed entrance gate in preschool area and removal of all hazards material and debris. Pictures of Toddlers Area with completed construction, removal of hazardous material, play equipment, cushioning, shade and benches. Corrections are due by 08/25/2025. An exit interview was conducted with a plan of corrected items discussed. LPA provided the Director with appeal rights and a copy of this report. Final license determination will be made upon review by the Licensing Program Manager and corrections.
