Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On May 10, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Aaliyah Zendejas and Veronica Diaz conducted an unannounced visit to deliver the findings of the above mentioned allegations. LPA met with director / owner Tressa Mendoza and advised her of the purpose of the inspection. Together with the director, LPAs toured the interior and exterior of the facility. At the time of the inspection, there were 15 children in care with 3 teachers. CCLD received a complaint regarding the above mentioned allegations. After conducting staff file reviews, LPA concluded that the staff is qualified to be working within the facility. After staff and parent interviews as well as observations, LPA did not observe any record of comingling between infant and preschool children. Staff denied comments regarding children being left unattended in the restroom, staff were observed constantly keeping watch of the children during LPA’ s 2 unannounced inspections. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation(s) did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with Director Tressa Mendoza.
