What the inspector wrote

LPA recommended Director to go over diaper changing policy with all staff members again. LPA reminded Director that a fully qualified infant teacher has completed either: - 12 units (includes 3 units related to infant care) and experience with children under 5 years old, or - Child Development Associate Credential and at least 6 months of experience, or - Child Development Associate/ Teacher & Master Teacher Permit. LPA also reminded Director that aides must work under the direct supervision of a fully qualified teacher. Notice of site visit was given, and should remain posted for at least 30 days. An exit interview was conducted and Plans of Corrections were reviewed and developed with the Director. A copy of this report and appeal rights were discussed and left with Director/Owner Tressa Mendoza whose signature on this form confirm receipt of these documents.

This requirement was not met as evidence by: Based on interviews and record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above as some staff members indicated diaper checks are done every 2 hours which poses/posed a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
