What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lilia Hernandez conducted a Plan of Correction (POC) inspection on 04/22/2025. The purpose of the visit was to ensure that the health, safety, personal rights, licensing conditions and limitations are as required by Title 22 Regulations. LPA arrived at the facility at 2:45PM and met with Regina Ramirez, Director , who guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Upon arrival, there was 10 school age children and 3 staff present. On 01/31/2025, Licensee was issued the following deficiencies during the Required 3- Year Annual Inspection: an access gate that opened away from the swimming pool but did not self-close or self-latched, a key lockable device placed on the fence was lower than 60 inches above the ground, a wooden fence that was half the height of the chain link fence that serves as a footholds that could enable a child to climb over. During today's inspection, LPA observed the in-ground pool to have a gate that self-closes and a key lockable device placed on the fence above 60 inches from the ground. LPA observed a life ring with a minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches and labeled as approved by the United States Coast Guard. LPA observed a rescue pole with a body hook and minimum fixed length of 12 feet. LPA also observed the wooden fence that was half the height of the chain link fence around the pool replaced with a fence that measured over 60 inches in height (photos taken). Director showed proof of daily inspection log used to track drowning prevention safety features and safety equipment prior to opening the facility. ---Page 1 of 2 Director also provided LPA with copies of 4 with current pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR course completion cards issued by the American Heart Association. There were no deficiencies cited during today's inspection. The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Regina Ramirez, Director .
