What the inspector wrote

On 05/18/2026 , Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Cristina Castellanos and Brittany Lovest conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) Inspection at the above-referenced facility to verify compliance with California Title 22 Regulations and applicable Health and Safety Codes. Upon arrival, LPAs met with Director Nancy Kim and explained the purpose of the visit. LPAs conducted a tour of the facility and observed twenty-five (25) children in care with eight (8) staff members providing supervision. On 04/29/2026, LPAs Castellanos and Lovest cited the facility for a violation of the following regulation: Infant Care Activities – 101430(a)(3)(C) At 11:47 a.m. in the Angelfish Classroom during nap time, LPA Castellanos observed two infants (C1 and C2) out of three sleeping infants using sleep sacks. On 05/04/2026, Director Nancy Kim submitted signed written statements of understanding to LPA Lovest via email, meeting the POC due date of 05/14/2026. During today’s inspection, LPAs reviewed twenty-six (26) children’s files and confirmed that each file contained a signed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224) documenting the Type A deficiency issued on 04/29/2026. No citations were issued during today’s POC inspection. An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report (LIC 809) and the Notice of Site Visit were provided to Director Nancy Kim.
