What the inspector wrote

On 01/28/2025 at 09:30 am, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Jeanine Lipsey and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Emiko Bell conducted an Unannounced Required Inspection visit. LPA & LPM met with Director Eyde Mcallister , and toured the facility, start time 9:30 am-12:30pm. Facility is currently licensed for a capacity of 181 children. LPA observed 160 children and 20 teachers present at the time of the visit. Orange room 3yrs: 6 children with 1 teacher Green room 2 yrs.: 12 children with 2 teachers Horizon #1-2 room 2 yrs. 12 children with 2 teachers Frontier #1 room 4 yrs 19 with 2 teachers Frontier #2 room 4 yrs: 9 with 1 teacher Frontier #3 room 4 yrs: 9 with 1 teacher Frontier #4 room 4 yrs: 16 with 2 teachers Red room 2 yrs.: 18 children 2 teachers East wing 3 yrs: 18 children with 2 teachers Orange Curtain 3 yrs: 11 children 1 teacher Red Curtain 3 yrs: 10 children 2 teacher West Wing 3 yrs: 20 children 2 teachers Sign in/out sheet confirmed this to be accurate. All children are under supervision, including visual supervision of a teacher at all times. Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. The facility is single story comprised of multiple buildings which house 13 class rooms, a kitchen, staff break rooms, rest rooms and front office. The facility sits on 2.5 acres and it has a swimming pool, a mini farm with a miniature horse, 2 pigs, chickens, a bird aviary with 2 bird baths, goats, rabbits, and sheep. Page 1 There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. The facility operates from 8:00 am to 4:50 pm. A walk through of the classrooms was conducted, the classrooms were found to be clean and free from any potential hazards. Furniture was found to be in good repair and age appropriate. There is adequate heating, lighting, and ventilation. Isolation area for sick students is in the little office neat the directors office. LPA observed adequate arrangements for isolation and care of ill children. The bathrooms were inspected. LPA observed toilets and sinks to accommodate the facility\342\200\231s capacity. Toilets flush properly, toilets and sinks are reachable by the children in care. The bathroom has adequate toilet paper and paper towels available. The bathroom was found to be clean. There is adequate lighting/ventilation in the bathroom area. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Floors in the facility are clean and safe. Parents and authorized adults use an electronic sign in and out devise (Brightwheel App), The devise is capable of printing sign in/out sheets upon request of licensing representative or other enforcement agencies. Lunches and snacks are prepared/provided by the school. Menus are posted. There is a full-service kitchen on site. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, stove, sink and microwave oven. The kitchen has cold and hot running water. LPA observed toxins in the cabinets inaccessible to children high on the shelves. Water pitchers and dispensers were observed for dispensing water in class room and outdoors. Trash cans used for solid or soiled waste were observed with tight fitting lids. The tour and the care tool was completed except for the staff and children's file review. Due to time constraints the visit will be concluded at a later date. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director Eyde Mcallister . A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Page 2
