What the inspector wrote

According to the Director, children are only placed in high chairs during meal time. According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), Staff 4 (S4) and Staff 5 (S5), high chairs are rarely used in the preschool side and are used during meal times for the children who need help with feeding. According to Child 1 (C1), Child 2 (C2) and Child 3 (C3) they like the school, they like their teachers and they are not placed on high chairs but eat their meals on the table. According to Parent 1 (P1), Parent 2 (P2), Parent 3 (P3) and Parent 4 (P4), they have no concerns regarding the care that their child is receiving while at the Child Care Center (CCC). Parents stated that their children like the CCC and have no concerns regarding their children\342\200\231s personal rights. -Pertaining to the allegation that - Staff do not provide adequate supervision to children in care According to the RP- Staff have left children in high chairs unattended and a child was observed to have fallen when left unattended in a room. According to the Director children are always supervised by staff and the director assists as needed. According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), Staff 4 (S4) and Staff 5 (S5), children are always supervised and one teacher is never left alone with more than 12 children at a time. According to Child 1 (C1), Child 2 (C2) and Child 3 (C3) they like the school, they like their teachers and they are not left alone in a room by themselves. According to Parent 1 (P1), Parent 2 (P2), Parent 3 (P3) and Parent 4 (P4), they have no concerns regarding the care that their child is receiving while at the Child Care Center (CCC). Parents stated that their children like the CCC and have no concerns regarding supervision. Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director, Lynette Ranasinghe.
