What the inspector wrote

On 5/28/25 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ranita Richmond and Chartrice Johnson arrived at the above named facility to conduct an unannounced case management incident visit due to unusual incident report (UIR) received via telephone to the officer of the day on 3/20/25. LPA was greeted by center coordinator, Lisa Perez LPA toured the facility both indoors and outdoors. LPA observed 27 children and 7 staff members providing care and supervision. Facility contacted the officer of the day on 3/20/25 to report an unusual incident that occurred at the facility on 3/19/2025. Unusual incident report submitted to the El Segundo Child Care Regional Office states that while receiving child from the school bus, therapist and child were walking to the classroom when child for no clear reason bit therapist on the top of the right hand. The day of the incident, therapist sought out medical attention and was given immunizations (tetanus and Hep B) and blood work was completed. Therapist returned to work the following day (3/20/25). During today’s inspection, LPA observed the therapist's hand. Therapist's hand has no marks or bruises and is working at 100% capacity. No further investigation necessary. There were no citations issued during today’s inspection. An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report and Notice of Site Visit was provided to Center Coordinator Lisa Perez.
