What the inspector wrote

On 03/03/2025 Licensing Program Analyst Cristina Castellanos conducted an unannounced case management inspection for the purpose of ensuring the standards are being met in accordance with California Tittle 22 Regulations and California Health and Safety Codes. LPA met with Director Dawn Speciale and then toured the facility both indoors and outdoors. During today’s inspection there were four (4) children and Director Dawn Speciale providing care and supervision. LPA observed a baby swing/rocker in the recreation room. Per Director Dawn Speciale the baby swing was just dropped off by one of the parents, which she will be returning back to. Per Director Speciale the baby swings/rockers are not used in the facility and are prohibited. LPA reminded Director of section 101239(r) Fixtures, furniture, and equipment that have been banned or recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission shall not be used or on the facility’s premises. Additionally, LPA informed Director Dawn Speciale of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment There was one Advisory Note - Technical Assistance given during today’s inspection. An exit interview was conducted with Director Gabby Romero. A copy of this report was provided to the Director along with the Notice of Site Visit.
