What the inspector wrote

On 05/19/2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton made an unannounced visit to the Daniels Family Child Care Home, to conduct a Case Management – Other inspection. LPA Clayton observed 1 child in care who licensee identified as her granddaughter. The Department received a Criminal Record Exemption Needed form for the Licensee. As indicated on the form, this individual may continue working or may be regularly present while an exemption request is evaluated. LPA Clayton provided Licensee Chetera with a copy of the letter for her records. LPA Clayton and Licensee Chetera reviewed the form and licensee acknowledged understanding that she is to upload the requested items to Guardian at https://guardian.dss.ca.gov/Agency or submit to 744 P Street, M.S. T9-15-62, Sacramento, CA, 95814 ATTN: CP1 / DB by 6/21/2026 to allow this individual to retain their background clearance or exemption. LPA Clayton advised Licensee Chetera to contact Guardian directly for answers to any questions she may have. Licensee acknowledged understanding. An exit interview was conducted this report was reviewed and a copy was provided to Licensee Chetera. LPA Clayton posted a Notice of Site visit which is to remain posted for 30 days.
