Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Amelia Morales conducted an unannounced- Required 3 Year inspection to the above facility. The purpose of the inspection was to ensure that health, safety, and personal rights as required by Title 22 Regulations governing California Family Child Care Homes are being met by the Licensee. LPA met with Yolanda Valenzuela and Roberto Valenzuela, who guided analyst on a tour of the home. An entrance checklist was provided. A census was taken there were two children during the time of the visit. The children\342\200\231s roster was reviewed and is current. Per Licens

Monday through Sunday 5:00 AM to 11:00PM.
This is a two story home which includes: (5) bedrooms, (3) bathrooms, living room, den, outside laundry room, kitchen, dining room, attached garage, backyard with a pool (fenced). Security cameras are located outside the home.
Per Licensees, areas that are accessible to children include: living room, kitchen, backyard that is fenced, the playroom, bathroom #2 that is located inside the playroom, and bedroom #3 that is connected to the playroom. Per Licensees, breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner are provided by Licensee's. Per Licensees children eat in the playroom. Food preparation areas were toured for safety, cleanliness and proper equipment. LPA observed mats for children to sleep in as well as cribs inside the playroom.

Per Licenses, areas that are inaccessible to the children in care are: bedroom #1, bathroom #1 located in front of bedroom #1, den, the attached garage, and bedroom #2. LPA observed a staircase in the dining room leading up the the second floor. The bottom of the staircase was observed to have a safety gate, making the upstairs area inaccessible to the children in care. Located on the second floor are bedroom #4, bedroom #5, bathroom #3, these are rendered inaccessible to the children in care.
There is a pool located in the backyard that is enclosed by a 5 foot wrought iron fence with 4 inch openings. The distance between the cement ground and the bottom of the fence is 4 inches. The pool gate was tested by LPA and observed to be self-closing, self-latching and swings away from the pool. The latch is located at the top of the gate; within 6 inches. There is a second pool gate on the left side of the home. This gate is also self-closing and self-latching. It should be noted at the time of the visit, there was no water in the pool. LPA Morales advised, once there is water in the pool there must be a pool alarm, rescue pole with a body hook that is at least 12 feet long, life ring with
minimum exterior diameter of 17 inches and labeled as approved by the United States coastguard.
Children utilize the back yard. LPA observed that the outdoor play area is fenced. Per applicant, when children are having outside time, they will ensure 100% supervision and never leave children unattended.
LPA observed the following: the home is clean and orderly. There were age-appropriate toys and play items. Licensee was informed that baby-walkers, bouncers, jumpers, and other prohibited items will not be used for children in car

. All electrical outlets have safety covers.
Detergents, cleaning compounds, medicati
ons, and other items which can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. The Licensee states that there are no poisons in the home.\302\240The Licensee does understand that poison must be locked with a key or combination lock

Each family child care home shall conduct fire drills and disaster drills at least once every six months. The Licensee shall document the drills, including the date and time of each drill. This documentation shall be kept at the family child care home. Disaster drill log was available during today\342\200\231s inspection, last disaster drill was conducted on 3/25/2025
The combined smoke/carbon monoxide detector was observed in bedroom #3 and the playroom they were tested and found to be operable. The required (2A10BC) fire extinguisher was mounted and located next to the entry of the playroom. The fire extinguisher were purchased on 04/25/2025.
The Licensees have current Pediatric First Aid and CPR. Proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles was readily available during today\342\200\231s inspection. The facility does not have liability insurance on file.

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at

as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee [or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at

and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.

Licensees were informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.
During the exit interview, the
Yolanda Valenzuela and Roberto Valenzuela,
confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
