What the inspector wrote

On 05/17/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Andrew Alemoh arrived at the facility on a case management visit to follow-up on an unusual incident report submitted by the facility on 05/08/2023 that a child was left unattended. At the time of visit, LPA toured the facility, and the where the incident took place (Early Preschool classroom). LPA took the census, and met with the Director Rubi and Assistant Director Cesalie to discuss the reported incident. During the visit, LPA also spoke with teacher #1 who witnessed the incident as it took place. It was stated that child #1 was left unattended for a very short period in the Early Preschool classroom. The classroom door did not close before Teacher #1 noticed child #1 was not with the rest of the children. She than immediately turned around and noticed child #1 was in the classroom, and brought the child back with the rest of the group. Teacher #3 was transitioning the children to the "two's classroom". Per director Rubi Teacher #2 was on administrative leave on 05/08/22 till the 05/15/2023 where Teacher #2 employee contract was terminated. There was no immediate danger to the child at this time The subject child involved in the incident was not interviewed due to being sick on 05/17/2023. Based on the information obtained during the visit there appeared to be no violations of Title 22 Regulations pertaining to the reported incident date 05/08/2023.
