What the inspector wrote

Records review of the day care children were observed in that the day care children’s dietary restrictions are completed. Interviews w/ relevant parties revealed that children have not been provided any food that they may be allergic too. Parents provide the facility with documentation of children allergies. Director, staff, and parent’s statements corroborated with evidence in that the facility is not providing children food that they are allergic too. Director, staff, and records review determined that the facility is following the children’s dietary restrictions and allergies . Based on the evidence obtained, the allegation of Qualifications, and Records Keeping is unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur. An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report was provided along with the appeal rights.

    FIXTURES, FURNITURE, EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

    Furniture and equipment shall be maintained in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Based on the interview and record review this requirement was not met as: LPAs observed the toy kitchen set in the classroom to contain a nail that was sticking out. This poses immediate health, safety, or personal rights risk to children in care.
