Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Per Licensee, the facility is maintained clean daily. Staff makes sure to remove any toys that infants place in their mouths and sanitized them before making the toys accessible to infants. A cleaning service is contracted to clean the facility outside hours of operation. Health checks are conducted daily before infants are dropped off for care. Should an infant develop symptoms while in care, parents are notified and asked to pick up their infant. Per Licensee, there has been no instances of staff not providing a safe and comfortable environment while infants are in care. During LPA’s observation of care and supervision, staff were observed caring for infant’s both indoors and outdoors. Staff had gloves and tissue available should an infant need their hands or face wiped both indoors and outdoors. During parent interviews, no disclosures were made that supports the allegations above. 3 of the 5 parents interviewed reported that when their infant shows signs of illness while in care, the facility notifies them and request that infant be picked up. Parents also disclosed that staff take good care of their infants and are satisfies with the quality of care. Based on the investigation conducted by the LPA, it has been determined that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Maureen Perera, Licensee. ---Page 2 of 2
