What the inspector wrote

An unannounced Case Management visit was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shandra Powell following a COVID outbreak reported to CCLD on 12/30/2021. LPA conducted a COVID risk assessment prior to entry and temperature was taken by staff Ms. Taylor. Upon arrival, LPA was given a tour of facility by Ms. Taylor. Census was taken 60 children were in attendance during inspection however only 55 children were signed in for the day. Per Title 22, Division 12 Chapter , 101229.1 (b) The person who brings the child to, and removes the child from, the center shall sign the child in/out. This poses a potential Health and Safety Risk to Children in Care. Staff-child ratio was met. During today's inspection, LPA toured the entire facility including all classrooms, restrooms, and kitchen. LPA observed all staff and children over two years of age wearing masks. LPA also observed all staff to be following DPH guidelines regarding cleaning and daily entry screening. An interview was conducted with the Director and Assistant Director current roster and DPH Redcap line list will be emailed to LPA. Director added that both children and both staff members who initially tested positive on 12/22 and 12/23 2021 have returned to facility and no other positive COVID-19 cases have been detected at the facility since. Director printed Pin 22-07- CCP: Updates to the California Department of Public Health Guidance for Child Care Providers and Programs. LPA and Staff reviewed the PIN together during inspection. Upon receipt, Director Ms. Alexander posted the Notice of Site Visit. The Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for thirty (30) consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100 civil penalty. LPA also observed Director posting a sign for parents regarding sigining child in/out of facility daily. An exit interview has been conducted with, and a copy of this report has been signed by and provided to Director, and Assistant Director. Appeal Rights have been provided and explained to Director.
