What the inspector wrote

On 06/07/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Laticia Thompson conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection. LPA met with Licensee Mariam Kaman. LPA observed 4 infants and 2 toddlers and 2 adults, licensee and assistant (daughter). LPA observed another adult in the home whom did not have a criminal record clearance, Agnes Rasolian (licensee mother), Licensee stated her mother has been visiting from out of state for a week. There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. There is a working smoke detector that is operable. The carbon monoxide detector was not functioning. The fire extinguisher is fully charged. The home has landline telephone service (818) 206-5373 and cell phone. LPA observed 3 play yards in day care area with blankets inside and hanging on the side of the rails. LPA discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee and provided license with Title 22 regulations of safe sleep. The outdoor play area in the side yard is fenced and there are no visible hazards to children present. Licensee was unable to provide any staff or children files. LPA issued the deficiencies see 809D An exit interview was conducted. A copy of this report, notice of site visit and appeal rights were given to licensee.
