What the inspector wrote

The Owner disclosed that on 06/16/2025, the facility was notified of a child with hand foot mouth disease and diagnosed over a weekend when child was not in care. The owner stated that the classroom where the child is enrolled was cleaned and children's play equipment was disinfected to reduce spread of the disease. By 06/23/2025, 5 other confirmed cases were reported to the facility. The Owner notified parents of children enrolled. The Owner made decisions to closed the facility for 2 days in order to clean and disinfect of the whole facility. The Owner also reported outbreak to the local health department.(case number provided) On 06/26/2025, the facility reopened for children to return to care. During staff interviews, information provided did not support the allegation. Staff provided consistent information regarding the cleaning of the facility and closure dates to ensure the facility was properly clean for children to return to care. Staff stated that they felt safe returning to the facility with the cleaning conducted at the facility. During today's visit, no other confirm cases have been reported. Based on the investigation conducted by the Department it has been determined that although the allegation may have happened or are is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. A copy of this report, appeal rights, and Notice of Site Visit was provided.
