What Happened

LPA found a lead exceedance in the room U-3 water fountain and the facility had already made the sink unusable with plastic and a sign. The center planned to cap and remove the outlet and was using kitchen-filtered water for children instead.

Observations

  • Water fountain CC in Room U-3 tested above the lead action level
  • The faucet was covered with plastic and a sign saying not to use it
  • The classroom was not in use and the facility planned to cap the outlet
