Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On August 25, 2021 at 12:34PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Brigitte Tsutaoka conducted an unannounced complaint inspection on the above allegation. LPA disclosed the purpose of inspection and was permitted entry by Director Erin Johnson who guided LPA on tour of the facility. LPA counted 101 children with 16 staff present. During inspection, LPA interviewed Director, Staff and obtained facility records. LPA observed signs requiring masking for both parents and children, booklets age appropriate for children establishing the importance of wearing a mask, and children wearing masks in the classroom. LPA observed masks available for children to wear in the facility office and masks children brought from home stored in their cubbies (during nap time). Based on staff interviews, staff positivley reinforce wearing masks with children through discussion and reminders should children remove their masks. Based on evidence obtained and interviews conducted, the above allegation is deemed Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur. An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report, Appeal Rights, and a notice of site visit were provided to the Director, Erin Johnson.
