Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On March 10, 2022 at 1:30pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala and Licensing Program Manager (LPM) Mariela Ramon conducted a Case Management inspection for the purpose of observing the restroom partitioners. On 02/09/22, LPAs Monique Ayala and Donna Maddox observed 2 separate restrooms gender designated with 2 sinks and 2 toilets in each restroom, however there are no doors for privacy. Upon management approval, licensee stated she will place panels on the restrooms to create privacy in the restrooms. Upon arrival LPA and LPM were greeted by licensee. Licensee guided LPA and LPM on a tour of the facility. LPA and LPM observed 31 school age children in care with 4 fully qualified staff. During today's inspection, LPA and LPM observed the restroom partitioners that the licensee has installed to be in compliance with Title 22 Regulations for school age restrooms requirements. LPA took a video recording of the partitioners. The video shows the bathroom partitioners are separated from each other in each gender designated restroom and there are two sinks and two toilets in each restroom. The partitioners are secured from the ceiling by a ceiling rod and attached to the wall by metal braces to ensure the stability of the partitioners. The bottom of the partitioners have wheels, so that the door of the partitioners open away from the toilets and children are able to open and close the partitioner doors. Licensee will be submitting a waiver request to use the partitioners for privacy in the school age gender designated restrooms. No violations were observed during this Case Management inspection. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report was provided along with a Notice of Site Visit to licensee.
