On June 10th, 2025, @ 9:00 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Devon Carus, conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection and was met by licensee, Rosa Lara. Currently, the above daycare has 8 children enrolled. LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. At the time of the visit, there were 4 children present. Current facility sketch reviewed, and Licensee confirmed that the kitchen is off limits and made inaccessible via child safety locks. This One Story home was inspected as follows: side yard area, front yard area, living room, kitchen, one bedroom, and one bathroom. All poisons are kept in a locked cabinet under the sink and are inaccessible to children in care. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. Medication is kept in a on a high shelf next to the front door out of reach of children. There is a working fire extinguisher (3A-40BC), smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and adequate heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. Safe toys and play equipment are observed. LPA confirmed the available cell phone number is 3107486205 . The day care play area is in the living room, bedroom near the restroom, front yard, and side yard. The children reside here while in care. There are locked doors and safety locks keeping the children in the day care area. There are cots and cribs for the children to sleep or rest on. The Daycare is open from 6:00am-6:00pm Mo-Fri. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. LPA observed no bodies of water on the premises. Licensee\342\200\231s pediatric CPR/First Aid expires on 6/15/2026. A review of records indicates that all employees and/or volunteers have immunization records on file for influenza, pertussis, measles, and Tuberculosis. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Rosa Lara. No citations were issued today During the exit interview, the licensee confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment.
