What the inspector wrote

On 5/19/26 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Ranita Richmond conducted an unannounced case management incident inspection at Boles FCC, located in, Hawthorne, 90250 for the purpose of following up on the unusual incident that was self-reported by the facility. The El Segundo Child Care Regional Office received the report on 5/18/2026. Upon arrival, LPA met with Licensee, Jovell Boles and discussed the purpose of the visit. LPA toured the home. LPA observed 8 children in care during the visit. According to the incident report, on 5/18/2026, on 05/15/2026 while grandparent was visiting C1. Grandparent discovered bruises on C1 face and body. Grandparent called police and child abuse hotline. During today’s inspection, LPA conducted an interview with the licensee and C1. LPA requested LIC 700 for C1. C1 was present at the FCC today. During the date of the incident, the licensee, assistant, and seven children were present at the family childcare home. At this time, further investigation is necessary. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies cited today. An exit interview was conducted and a copy of this report along with the Notice of Site Visit were provided to licensee Jovell Boles.
