What the inspector wrote

On 03/20/2024 Licensing Program Analyst LPA Ranita Richmond and Chartrice Johnson arrived at the home to conduct a Case Mangement Deficiencies visit and was met by Licensee Liliana. LPA observed 8 children in care being supervised and cared for by licensee and 1 fingerprint cleared assistant. LPA toured the home inside and outside for health and safety. During walk through LPA observed inside the bathroom used by children cleaning compounds, disinfectant wipes and sprays, beauty supplies, etc. on shelves, inside medicine cabinet, and inside tub/shower areas in the bathroom that are accessible to children in care. LPA observed bleach in laundry area accessible to children in care. Type B citation cited. See LIC 809D. Repeat violation. See LIC 421FC. LPA observed that open face heater not to be screened to prevent access by children. Heater covered by artificial grass.Type B citation cited. See LIC 809D. LPA observed that all cribs are not free from all loose articles and objects. LPA observed blankets, toys, clothes, and shoes inside of 2 of 3 the cribs. See LIC 809D. Repeat violation. See LIC 421FC. LPA observed all cribs are not free from hanging on or attached items to the sides of cribs. LPA observed blankets hanging from the side of cribs on 2 of 3 of the cribs. See LIC 809D. Repeat violation. See LIC 421FC. At approximately 10:59am an infant was placed to sleep in the crib on her side. Type B citation issued. See LIC 809D. LPA advised licensee that even during switching of staff that doors must remain open when infants are sleeping. TV issued. LPA advised licensee that kitchen gate must remain locked at all times keeping dangerous items such as knives inaccessible to children at all times even during outdoor enrichment times. TV issued. Five Type B citations issued during this visit per Title 22 Regulations and Health and Safety Codes. See LIC 809D. Civil Penalties Assessed. See LIC 421FC. An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report and appeal rights was read and provided to Licensee Liliana Ponce. Notice of Site Visit was provided and required to be posted for 30 days.

LPA observed toys attached to side of crib.
