Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 3:02 pm Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Mayra Rivera conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection. LPA met administrator Eugenio Ramos who granted access and provided a tour of the facility. LPA observed 8 infants with staff #1 and staff #2 present providing care and supervision. The purpose of the Case Management Inspection was to follow up on a self-reported Unusual Incident report, which was submitted to the Department on June 4, 2024. The incident report involved maintenance being done in the infant classroom. A side edge of the wall located in the crib area, needed to be patched and service was done by applying dry wall clay which the repair lasted only for about 5 minutes. Administrator Eugenio stated the clay mixture was done outside the facility, had no odor and was a safe to apply while children were present. Children did not have access to touch the wall or were near the wall when the maintenance person applied it. Children were on the play side. During this visit, LPA Rivera inspected the wall and observed no peel and no odor. Therefore, no violations of title 22 and no deficiencies were given during this visit. A Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with administrator Eugenio Ramos.
