What the inspector wrote

On October 19, 2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Isabel Ortega, conducted a Case Management inspection in response to information received from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB), Division of Drinking Water (DDW). LPA Ortega met with the Director Angie Bustamante, the purpose of the inspection was disclosed and entry was granted. Upon arrival 55 children were present and six staff. During the inspection, LPA Ortega informed Director, the results provided from SWRCB, indicated the facility had elevated levels of lead in the water faucet K and L Classroom referred to as the "two's" the Department was notified of the Action Level Exceedance (ALE), levels are at (K) 5.55 and (L) 5.75. The SWRCB inspected and collected sample on 9/19/2022 testing number 221277. According to Director the sinks identified as having high levels of lead are in the same classroom referred to as the "two's." LPA advised Director, all water outlets tested with an ALE at the facility shall be placed as out of service. On 9/29/2022 parents notified via-email. According to Director both sinks are utilized for hand washing only. LPA observed a changing table by the water faucet L. Director advised LPA Ortega per the sample results, the sink faucets K and L have been replaced on 9/30/2022. According to facility the water in area K and L is scheduled to be retested on 10/26/2022. Facility has followed regulations in place and has taken action to correct the lead level exceedance. Therefore, no citations will be issued today. An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report, appeal rights and a Notice of Site Visit was provided to Director on this day. This report shall be public record for three years and notice of site visit shall be posted for 30 days. 812 for the case management
