What the inspector wrote

On 10/24/2022, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Suzette Ornelas conducted an announced visit at the Family Child Care Home regarding a Type A citation 102417(g)(5)(A) that was issued on 10/18/2022. LPA observed that the licensee has installed a fence that is at least five feet high and is constructed so that the fence does not obscure the pool from view. The bottom and sides of the fence comply with Division 1, Appendix Chapter 4 of the 1994 Uniform Building Code. In addition to meeting all of the aforementioned requirements for fences, the gate swings away from the pool, self-closes and has a self-latching device located no more than six inches from the top of the gate. This deficiency has been cleared and the facility is in compliance with this regulation and is safe for children in care. Exit Interview was conducted. This report shall be made available to the public upon request. LIC 9213 Notice of Site Visit is provided and required to be posted for 30 days.
