Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

interact with children at the day care. Adult 1 has employment outside of the day care and spends very little time at the day care when children are present. Licensee denied observing bruises on children as a result of the alleged allegations. Attempts were made to interview Adult 1 regarding the above mentioned allegations however, Adult 1 was unable to participate in interviews. LPA made multiple attempts to interview Staff 1 (via telephone) but was unsuccessful as Staff 1 refused to speak to the LPA. Parents interviewed did not present concerns related to the above-mentioned allegations and were pleased with the services and care being provided to their children. Parent 1 interviewed disclosed of knowing and working with Adult 1 outside of the day care and described Adult 1 as being an "awesome person". Interviews conducted of children were inconsistent regarding the above mentioned allegations. The majority of children interviewed described Adult 1 as being kind and nice and denied observing adults at the day care slapping children for misbehaving. All Children interviewed denied observing adults covering the mouths of children or handling children in a rough manner. Children interviewed disclosed that when a child misbehaves at the day care, the child does not participate in play time and will write "Standards". Based on the investigation conducted, there is insufficient evidence to support the above-mentioned allegations to be true. Therefore, although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are Unsubstantiated. The Notice of Site Visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Director / Amanda Stone and Appeals Rights provided.
