What the inspector wrote

According to the RP, staff did not inform RP of superficial scratches Child 1 (C1) obtained and was unable to clearly provide information on how the scratches were obtained. According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), whenever children obtain any injury parents are notified either via the application Pro Care or upon pickup. According to Parent 3 (P3) and Parent 4 (P4), Parent 5 (P5), Parent 6 (P6) and Parent 7 (P7) their children have at some point obtained a minor injury that is not of a concern; however, they are informed about how the incident occurred and have no serious concerns about the care their children are receiving. -Pertaining to the allegation that - Staff did not ensure that day care child was fed while in care. According to the RP- C1 was not fed all 3 bottles of milk while in care. According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), children are always fed according to their feeding schedule. Staff further stated that they cannot force a child to eat if they refuse. Staff further stated that some children refuse to eat and they make their best attempts to log everything on the Pro Care application; however, there are times that due to being busy with the children, updating the app can be delayed at times. According to Parent 3 (P3) and Parent 4 (P4), Parent 5 (P5), Parent 6 (P6) and Parent 7 (P7) they have no concerns regarding their children being withheld meals. Parents stated that they understand the feeding schedule. Parents stated that if their children do not eat the food return home with them at the end of the day. Parents stated that they understand their children might not always be hungry and have no concerns. Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Lead Teacher, Alicia Hill.
