Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

There were two trash cans, the soiled diapers with urine were placed in one trash can and soiled diapers with feces \342\200\234poop\342\200\235 were placed in a plastic bag and tied and then placed in the second trash can. The two trash cans were white with removable swing lids and the lids were opened. LPA photographed the two trash cans, the open trash can lids, and the soiled diaper with feces in a plastic bag. Based on LPA\342\200\231s observations and photographs, the facility did not ensure when changing infant diapers, soiled disposable diapers shall either be disposed as recommended on the packaging or placed in an airtight container for daily disposal outside of the center. The preponderance of evidence standard has been met, therefore the above allegation is found to be SUBSTANTIATED. California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12 Chapter 1, 101428 (d) (3) is being cited on the attached deficiencies page. As a result of today's visit, a Type B Deficiency was issued for regulation 101428 (d)(3) Infant Care Personal Services and a Plan of Correction is due 3/8/2024. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days, exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Marisol Nepumoceno, Director.
