What the inspector wrote

On 03/02/2026 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cristina Castellanos conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection at the above-mentioned facility for the purpose of ensuring the standards are being met in accordance with California Tittle 22 Regulations and California Health and Safety Codes. Present during the inspection were Licensee Merriman, the licensee\342\200\231s assistant, the licensee\342\200\231s two (2) adult children, the licensee\342\200\231s two (2) teenage children, two (2) fingerprint-cleared adults, and two (2) children in care. During the inspection, LPA Castellanos confirmed through the Guardian Background Check System that the licensee\342\200\231s adult child with a disability (C3) does not have a current fingerprint clearance associated with the facility. Licensee Merriman stated that C3 has fingerprint clearance with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) as of June 2025 through the foster care program. LPA informed the Licensee that C3 must obtain a fingerprint clearance specifically associated with this licensed facility, as required by Community Care Licensing regulations. LPA Castellanos provided Licensee Merriman with form LIC 9163, Request for Live Scan Service - Community Care Licensin . The Licensee will notify LPA Castellanos once the Live Scan process for C3 has been completed. The Licensee has 30 days to complete this requirement. If additional time is needed, the Licensee will contact LPA Castellanos to discuss possible alternatives. Continue An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Licensee Merriman. A copy of the report was provided to the Licensee. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements will result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Page 2
