What the inspector wrote

On 11/20/25, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), V. Wheatley conducted an unannounced Annual Inspection for the infant license. LPA met with director Karen Cuevas and toured the facility indoors and outdoors. LPA observed 19 infants supervised properly and within required ratios. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 6:30pm. Capacity and limitations as specified on the license are being maintained. There are no swimming pools, ponds, or other bodies of water on the premises . There are no firearms or ammunition allowed or stored on the premises. Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible. No poisons were observed. There are three preschool classrooms and two toddler classrooms. Furniture and equipment are in good condition, free of sharp, loose or pointed parts. Floors in the facility are clean and safe All toilets and hand washing facilities are in safe and sanitary operating condition. LPA inspected the classrooms and observed age-appropriate toys, books and furnishings. LPA observed the trash bins with food, however the trash was removed during the inspection. The rooms and storage areas are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. Playground equipment is in safe condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. Areas around high climbing equipment, swings and slides have cushioning material to absorb falls. Drinking water is available both indoors and outdoors. There is a working carbon monoxide detector. PAGE 2 LPA Wheatley inspected the food preparation and storage areas which are clean, free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination and any contaminated food is discarded immediately. The facility provides AM and PM snacks. Lunch is provided by the parent or the Catered lunch program by Children's Menu Company. Menus are posted. LPA reviewed children’s files and observed files to be in compliance including current contact information for authorized representatives and/or relatives who can assume responsibility for the child, immunization records, and authorization for medical treatment. LPA reviewed personnel files and observed files to be in compliance with current CPR/First Aid, Mandated Reporter training and immunizations for personnel in childcare. Prior to working or volunteering in a licensed child care facility, all individuals subject to a criminal record review have received a criminal record clearance or exemption. Upon notification from the Department, the licensee will comply and act immediately to terminate the employment of, remove from the facility or bar from entering the facility for any person it is deemed necessary while the Department considers granting or denying an exemption. Facility completed Lead Testing in 2021 and is in compliance LPA Wheatley verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance with Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . This facility provides Incidental Medical Services - IMS services. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children's, personnel, and administrative records. Director was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. PAGE 3 LPA Wheatley reminded Director to access the Community Care Licensing website www.ccld.ca.gov for access to Provider Information Notices (PINs), Quarterly Updates, Public Health reporting Information and Resources, Mandated Reporter Training, Lead Poisoning Facts, Forms and Regulations. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PINs), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters and other important information communication platforms. An exit interview was conducted and the report was reviewed with director. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations no deficiencies were cited. Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.. A copy of the report will be emailed due to printer technical issues.
